We understand if we are not standing in the water, we are standing somewhere in the watershed.
Our hometown is known as one of the few California Coastal Cities that has been able to earnestly maintain our small town character and our rich biodiverse surroundings.
What we have here is unique.
Our Morro Bay National Estuary is the largest remaining estuary in the state of California. The Morro Bay east estuary is a State Marine Reserve (SMR) and by California law holds the highest level of protection in the Marine Portected Area Network
Did you know that 2/3's of the coeans fish are born in estuaries?
And if you understand the life sustaining importance of the Rainforests then you may already understand that our estuary and others in the world are on an equal level of liife sustiaining qualities as are the Rainforests.
Estuaries are referred to as Blue Carbon Sinks.
This is our first message on this address. We look forward to having a working web site up in the very near future.
Our children are standing and watching to see if we will do our part for their future.
